So many things have happened recently that we failed to note this Web site celebrated its 6th anniversary last month.

Last month, Scorpions and aisk.org were also featured in 4 publications:

More Scorpions are finding this Web site and "coming home" as a result of all this publicity. One of these Scorpions is James Moncur who writes:

"Carol Okerlund and I were the first graduating class of Kabul International High School, in 1960. Carol was the valedictorian, which left me with the distinction of being salutatorian as well as low man in the class. Total enrollment, in grades 10 and 12, was 21 students. Our parents established the school in 1959, in an old house near the (old) embassy. All instructors were wives of foreign aid personnel, with the exception of a French teacher.

I have fond memories of Kabul and am deeply saddened at what those people have been through in the past 20 years or so."

Welcome home James!

Until the past 2 months, the guest book has been archived monthly. The increased activity has required semi-monthly archiving to keep its size reasonable. It may have to be archived weekly soon!

Let's remember to respect each other's views and opinions even when they differ from our own. "Skycrosser" said it best: "TRY TO SHOW THE HIGHEST AMOUNT OF GOOD REGARD FOR THE FEELINGS OF EACH OTHER."

Keep Democracy Strong

I would like to draw your attention to an injustice against one of our own, Ossama Khamis, Class of 1968 and his co-worker, Ronnie Jones. The following is an email I received last month from Ossama which has been moved to the Guest Books & Letters section of the Multimedia Library.

Please speak up for Ossama and justice.
