| The Valley of the Buddhas (Part 2)
Marnie's thinking about opening a branch office in Bamiyan. This would surely be a peaceful place to work and play.
"Everyone was Kung Fu fighting, their fists were fast as lightning..." Did not expect this; Afghanistan and its people surprise me still.
Rounding up the buz (goats). All members contribute to the family's well being so even the little ones have their daily chores.
Almost the whole motley crew -- Norm, Jerry, Patricia, Mabuba, Marnie, and Wahid. Patricia and Mabuba are Afghan-Americans. Jerry's from the UK.
Picking up some kebabs in the bazaar for diner later at the hotel. As usual, yummy, yummy, yummy...
The site of the large buddha as seen from the hotel. Sorry, I can never forgive the Taliban for making this hole in the cliff.

Young girls coming home from school. Each and every one greeted Norm and me with a somewhat shy, but respectful, "Salaam."
Dr. Norm surveys the landscape from the site of the small buddha.
At the hotel, with tea and snacks, the girls are going over the day's activities.
Guess what's for desert? I will always have the opinion that Afghanistan has the best melons on the planet.
Don't have no truck scales headin' out of Charikar so I think we'll just move the whole damned house and all the people too.
